Had a friend who is still somewhat engaged in this giant cluster fuck say to me today. “Do you think it’s LEGAL for Iran to hold up the SoH?”

I about swallowed my tongue. Suddenly laws matter again. They apparently weren’t important when USrael sneak attacked Iran Feb 28. But I let that go. Instead I reminded him about the ONE LAW that stands above ALL Other Laws.

I’m talking about the Law of Violence. And in this realm of the SoH, Iran has a monopoly on that. And All the legal doctrine and courts are out of violence’s jurisdiction.

Great Post Matt, will be sending him this. lol damn normie probably won’t read it though smh.

Read books written by “The Old Frogman” you won’t be disappointed.

The very detailed maps were very helpful in getting a true picture of the area of conflict. That, and the value of your personal experience as one of Americas greatest!

Thanks, Matt!

Excellent work as always Matt! I don't know why, but every time I see a bottleneck by land, those concerns of Ford Island come to mind. What if they were sunk in the channel? What if, what if?

Big, slow, heavy thing filled with a flammable goop that would float on the surface on fire, leaving its container hulk, blocking the "safe" channel...? How about somebody from the GOP stand up and ask, why don't we stop this war that we started? Something is not right. 250 years ago, we didn't start that war. We just claimed our independence. The King's men fired the first shots. We just passed the 251st anniversary of that. Lexington and Concord and The Magazine in Williamsburg. I've been around just three or so years lest than you and I can't believe what the hell I'm seeing.

Yours in liberty,

Vince

Nobody, including Iran, wants to see a ULCC or VLCC sinking and leaking millions of barrels of oil. That's why they aim smaller Shahed-type drones at their superstructures, not at the hull or waterline.

completely logical. I was thinking more on the lines of a flag that might falsely be flown by our "greatest ally." That concerns me the most, though I should have stated that in my comment to begin with. My apologies oh humble one.

Are you going to be on the 4th hour today? He mentioned you yesterday.

Some poor outsider served by the smaller, older tankers struggling to get by victimized by the bad, meanies!

Thanks, Matt. Very informative. Hellava lot of work went into this post. Much appreciated, Brother.

Being an armchair geopolitical expert is not an easy job to do. Your brain works overtime in effort to come up with all sorts of crazy ideas and scenarios. Well, here’s one.

T Zero: An Iranian flagged tanker sailing south-east from Straits of Hormuz has stopped, and a Blackhawk helicopter carrying 31st MEU operators is hovering above the deck, preparing to fast-rope the Marines.

Hours T-1: The tanker didn’t obey the order sent from the US Navy vessel to stop, and was fired upon. The engine room was destroyed, and the tanker eventually started slowing down.

Day T-7: IRGC had assembled a team for a suicidal mission. Several terminally ill NCOs and few fathers of triple-tapped Minab school girls volunteered.

Day T-6: One old decommissioned oil tanker, filled with sea water has been prepared and equipped with the necessary ordnance.

Day T-5: The tanker sailed out of the port, with the regular crew and the mission volunteers.

Day T-4: The tanker passed through the Straits of Hormuz, and the regular crew was evacuated from the vessel, previously setting up the speed and the course of the ship for the volunteers to maintain.

T+1 minute: The first Marine on the fast rope is about to hit the deck. IEDs on the deck are detonated, sending thousands of steel balls in the air, shooting down the helicopter and the operators.

T+2 minutes: The volunteers are engaging the rest of the helicopters using man-pads.

T+3 minutes: The deck cover opens and dozens of drones fly out in the direction of the nearby US Navy vessels. The most of them are shot down.

T+4 minutes: The tanker is torpedoed by a submarine and is slowly sinking.

I don’t know if such a scenario is possible or not, but if I am thinking of it, some idle IRGC officer does too. As I already stated, being an armchair geopolitical expert is not an easy job to do.

I would rule nothing out, but so far Iran is winning just by sticking to its game plan and weapons inventory.

I totally agree. Never interrupt your enemy while he is in the middle of making a mistake…

Order out of Chaos, or Ordo Abd Chao on the dollar bill. First you create the problem then you bring in the solution. As ham fisted as the US military effort is so far, and it would never normally have been done, it serves to create a giant mess. The question should be - what will come in to replace the current system?

David In New Mexico's avatar

In the short term, much more chaos.

The Banksters (BIG $) must have US troops on the ground in Iran.

So, there will be US troops on the ground in Iran.

The Banksters always get what they want.

There is a very good reason the Banksters want this.

Iran has put a certain new tech into production. .. New tech is harmless to the Banksters as long as they can keep it from being mass produced.

But once that cat is out of the factory door the Banksters will never catch that cat again. ..... They MUST have it suppressed, hogtied and buried.

It will probably take years for the US military to find it all. … YEARS.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of miles of very deep tunnels under Iran. ..... This tech is small, relatively easy to produce and a cinch to hide.

This will get VERY MESSY for both parties.

CK1's avatar

What is the tech?

JT's avatar

The tech is not allowing sodomy or usury ravage their nation.

DuneCreature's avatar

I don’t know about the sodomy part of your statement but the no usury squares with what I know. … Businesses in Iran flourish through family cash loans and institutions much like credit unions here in the US..

The other thing Iran doesn’t have is a national ‘patent office’ that hoovers up any new important tech that might benefit humanity and sequesters it behind a ‘national security’ iron curtain. .... Almost any powerful tech can be weaponized so TPTB (the powers that be) can sit on virtually anything they want through that claim.

Through the Hague Agreement on Intellectual Property (patents, in essence) the Banksters have been hiding a lot of very useful tech. .. Iran refuses to play that game and join in. … A BIG reason for this war. .. It will probably be claimed that we are looking for enriched uranium. .. That is mostly nonsense and a cover story.

The Banksters (and their highly paid Spook army) control what the public gets to see, learn about and use as far as tech goes. .... It’s all about $, power and control.

I hate to say this to Matt Bracken, but it *IS* Iran who is blocking the strait at this time. It is THEY who are causing the potential famine/starvation and economic destruction while they are blocking it. REGARDLESS of WHO started this war, that is not the disagreement. In the end, it is IRAN holding the world hostage, NOT the USA at this point. Matt even admits this every time he brings it up, yet he constantly points the finger at Trump. Yes, Trump started the war, but right now, at ANY time, Iran can easily stop the blockade of the strait, and yet they choose not to. THEY in truth are the culprits of the blockade, plain and simple. This focus of Matt on Trump and not realizing this simple fact and reality tells you volumes about who Matt Bracken is.
